Not the lens you want on the camera when you're in the wood, but it was what it was, and I had to capture this first sighting in 17 lives of living here of an owl in the woods. When I first heard it's call and saw it swoop I thought it might have been a hawk. Desperate for a better view I severely cropped an image from the same distance and came up with the next view.
