Was playing with Intelligent Exposure in jpg mode (discovered it was grayed out if you used raw) for this backlit shot. You couldn't even see Ricky's eye on the left in the original image. I was able to draw out lots of shadow detail in Photoshop CS4 using the shadows adjustment and the dodge tool. intelligent Exposure was set for "Standard".
