Louie was studying the dark deck so I suspected we had a visitor - turned out there were two raccoons at the bird feeder, one patiently waiting for the other to have its fill. I started by using the camera's internal flash and got a lot of reflections off the glass, even though I was holding the camera at an angle to the glass. Since I had an f/1.8 lens on the camera I just ditched the flash use and opened the lens all the way and cranked up the ISO to 1600. Ambient light was two 65 watt floods in the deck ceiling. After a while the raccoon really wasn't bothered by me and went back to raiding. Click on "next".
