As Tim said, this does look like a landscape only upside down. The rusty tank below surely does fool my eye into thinking it's sky. The textures interplay wildly here as well as the colors. Just wonderful!
It is like a post-industrial landscape - hopefully not a metaphor of things to come - the weeds are like dried out trees with a blue lake behind them and a red sun in the polluted sky.
