The Congress Hotel, built in 1919, is still operating and retains much of its early charm. The infamous bank robber, John Dillinger, stayed at the hotel in 1934. The hotel has a rich history and many tales come with that history. One tale is that the hotel is the haunt of ghosts and, perhaps, we saw some evidence of this.
