The widespread Grey Goshawk is probably best split into several species, the name Grey Goshawk is kept for the Australian complex, birds from the Lesser Sundas are then called Variable Goshawk (Accipiter hiogaster), and the subspecis from Komodo should be Accipiter hiogaster sylvestris.
