Meet The Clumps

This little stand of trees near Ardill SK. jumps out from the barren winter backdrop.
It only looks like this in the winter, any other season and the trees just blend in.
I'm at a high vantage point shooting into the valleys below.

It almost looks like a nest in the top of the one tree to the right.

This is one fab shot! I love the clumps and the fence leading off into the horizon and the white of the snow! You should print and frame this one!

One would ask why trees would just make their own little forest in the middle of the Prairie like that, especially with all that space around and behind them. I bet it has something to do with trying to stay warm :)
