D8T Modified

This D8T has been extensively modified to work in the Oil Sands.
The most noticeable rework are the rads and air-conditioning condensers on the roof.
The air-conditioning compressor, rad fans & alternator are all driven by hydraulics and are roof mounted.
Critical engine components have been water sealed as this machine sometimes ends up sunk to the middle of the cab.
It also sports an escape hatch in the roof and a special low glare paint job.

Low glare paint - never thought about that. Quite the machine!

It certainly looks like something out of "Mad Max"; looks like a roll cage on the front. Nice capture Mike.

Do you have "oil sand" around there? I was thinking this came in from Iraq or somewhere like that.
