Using a canon net, 15 Taiga Bean Geese were caught and fitted with neck collars and leg rings. Four of the collars have location tracking devices attached to them which will record the birds' positions twice daily and which should carry on working for two years. If one of these birds returns next year it will be possible to download this data and reveal the bird's movement and migrations for the previous year.
