The White-crowned Starling is endemic to southern Ethiopa and Somalia. It is found in arid grassland areas, often around cattle pasture and human settlement. The only place where we found this bird was on the Liben plains near Yabello where it was common. The birds behaved a bit like Choughs searchng in the cattle dung for worms and bettles.
