Poppy Explosion

Kilconquhar, near Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland.

Whilst on my way to photograph a wedding at St Monan's church near Pittenweem I quite literally screeched to a halt and stared in disbelief at the best display of poppys I have ever seen anywhere in the world never mind Scotland. This astounding display interspersed with white daisys was attached to a farm at Kilconquhar. Wedding imminent I vowed to return and the next day with the kind permission of the farmer I spent almost 5 hours photographing various aspects of this scene eventually getting this shot just before a storm burst.
