The Old Man of Storr

Skye, Scotland

I think Skye offers some of the most devastatingly beautiful scenery in the world but I can't deny that Skye is temperamental in terms of it's weather conditions. I can't resist this hour long trek to the cliff view overlooking the stone age landscape of Storr. On this fine Autumnal morning I was lucky with the weather at least for the duration of sunrise as it managed to break through the clouds and project long raking peach coloured rays of light over the hills and light up the Old Man and his family wonderfully.

Ian ... stunning photo. I agree with you on the weather on Skye ... we were there for two days and never came close to seeing the sun. This is a fantastic catch ... big vote.

Now this I like. You have done well to retain the detail in the background without it overbearing the foreground. Well done! VVVVV
