Alaska
After six hours flight, we landed on Anchorage airport. We were immediately impressed by the fresh air, the bright sun light and the snow mt. under blue sky. We picked up a 25-foot RV from Great Alaska Holidays and packed the RV with food and groceries. Though Alaska highways are more like county roads, driving a RV is much easier than what I thought. In our 8 days of RV travel, we have parked in Montana creek CG on way to Denali, Riley creek CG in Denali National Park, Portage Valley CG, Russian river CG and Seward waterfront CG. In Denali National Park, being able to see wild animals (Grizzly bear, Caribou and Dall's sheep) was the most exciting thing for us. The snow mt. peaks, the colorful landscape and wild plants were so beautiful. The scenic drive way between Anchorage and Denali was definitely my best driving experience ever. We are happy we have visited Russian river. Watching salmon jumping over wafer falls is one of the must-have experiences in Alaska. We were told glaciers on Prince William Sound (Whittier) was the best in Alaska. It is true. Thought the day was raining when we had our cruise in the bay, the glaciers were still amazing. We were shocked by the sound of glacier calving. Sea Kayaking in Resurrection bay (Seward) will never be forgotten. Eagle, Salmon and Seal were just around us...
