"The entrance to the Berkeley Chapel is a sacristy. In the Middle Ages,
this would have been where the sacraments were prepared before the service.
There is also evidence of a bread oven for the baking of the communion bread.
The chapel itself was originally provided for prayer for the souls of the Berkeley family."
