Insculped and embossed...
2 March 2006 (167)

Fovant, Salisbury, UK

Another glorious, crisp winter's morning:
the outside temperature gauge still reads -2°C (at 9 a.m.);
and there's still snow lying on the downs....

This is a shot through the local cricket pavilion window:
frosted by nature; but inspired by Sharon Rogers'
very clever shot of St Paul's Cathedral.

The pavilion in late summer...

Simple and beautiful.

I love the combination here of light and patterns. It gives the feeling of perspective. Black and white, as others have already said, works very well.

The patterns are excellent and black and white is top for this shot. Well done.

I love the patterns and shapes created by Ice.

Nice catch of natures etchings and I like the different areas of light.

I like that delicate splash of light on what looks almost like moiré silk.

Dear God! It's stupidly cold still!!! And I was thinking that the first signs of Spring were already arriving to the UK...
You know what?? I thought this was a shot of some sort of art installation that was being shown in a gallery somewhere... I would never guess what this was if it wasn't for your note :)) Great effect!!
