Thought it looked slightly acorn-like in the thumbnail,
with the leaf where the cup would be....

Taken on the Beech Avenue at Kingston Lacy (its natural habitat),
this is a 'coprinus picaceus', or 'magpie inkcap'; in French, 'coprin noir et blanc'.
It's probably poisonous, but has supposedly been eaten by some with no ill-effect. Um....

Eat?? Hummm... I pass, though you've managed to shot this one in such a way that it almost looks like a chocolate...and the leaf looks like the wrapping paper :)) Ok! it's almost luch time for me, so I guess I am alucinating already ;))
Serioulsly now, I believe that you've managed to make a very interesting macro shot, with great colours and detail and the little leaf is a winner too.
