Breaking the mould
23 September 2005 (7)

Fovant, Salisbury, UK

Okay: I admit it, it's another food macro... -- but, this time, with a slight twist: I didn't eat this one afterwards! Do(ug)h!
I bought this sliced rye bread when I moved in, a little over three months ago; and, last time I checked, it was fine.... But not now!
It seemed a shame to throw it away, though, without trying to capture the pattern, texture and colour...
-- especially the contrast where mould meets bread, as it were....

Just think of it as a packaging shot for the 'No Logo' generation...!?!

It looks quite, um, well, not tasty! But it's a great macro none the less!

Excellent shot, Stephen. Beautiful textures.

Thanks...!

Re its longevity: you'd think so, wouldn't you? But this German stuff lasts for ever (well, almost)! It actually had a use-by date of 26 August 2005 -- so it was only a month out of code...!

Any bread that would last 3 months would be suspicious enough. Glad it grew mould, it made an excellent macro. Great textures indeed!
