'Tree of Life' -- Neil Wilkin's design for Westonbirt International Festival of Gardens, 2003 -- is "inspired by nature and the Westonbirt Arboretum itself".
A 3.5-metre tall trunk of stainless steel and glass, the tree has nine branches, each bearing a line of glass 'fruit'.
These provide a “looking glass” to the immediate landscape, "a different way of viewing our surroundings".
