My once commended beauty
21 January 2013 (480)

Stratford-upon-Avon view map

I was out walking in the snow,
taking what appeared to be mostly
monochrome images, when I espied
the most amazing sight.
Made my heart sing!

----------

Thank you so much to the lovely lady who kindly let me
photograph her -- literally charming the bird from the tree!

How marvelous! I adore these little robins, though of course, they don't occur here in North America, but I remember them from childhood, and visits to the UK. I didn't realize that they would come to one's hand! The entire series of robin shots is enchanting. VV

That's lovely. I still haven't photographed a robin.
My pigeons today had just been fed by a lady who talked to them and one perched on her hand. She told the flock she'd be back on Wednesday!

Aw, that is cute. Lucky for the robin she was there with some food.

What a wonderful capture! This bird in the hand was definitely far superior to two in the bush .

What a golden opportunity, a super set of images.
As you say, heart-singing stuff!
Johnny JAG21-Jan-2013 14:47
Superb catch, how good is that? Ours are much less tame, or just less hungry.
