St Leonard's Church, where "There is... wonderful carving
in the gargoyles and corbels outside and in the richly carved buttresses;
some of the gargoyles are extraordinary wild boars."

"In 1851 Mary Elizabeth [Lucy] decided to pull down the old church,
which she found too austere... [and rebuilt] it in a full-blooded Gothic Revival style
in memory of her late husband."
