The water had dropped by about a metre, overnight;
but heavy rain was forecast for this afternoon and evening.
It materialized, just as we set off on the two-mile trek
back from our elevenses of coffee and fruit-cake...!

We got very wet. And a bit cold.
'Twas fun, though...!

However, I now worry how bad it will be in Stratford --
and the surrounding area -- tomorrow morning....
