A joint mission between Rotary International districts 5830 and 4250 and Refuge International, this project consist of administering Guatemalan children Albendazole 400mg. to rid them of parasites such as tapeworms and hookworms. The mission kicked off the week of March 14, 2011 and will continue until the 4 million doses are utilized. This translates into treating that number of children or 2 million treated twice. This first week was very successful as our team of 9 Northeast Texas residents along with a Guatemalan support team from Refuge International began this joint mission. Attached are some of the children and scenes from this week.
