World Trade Center Horizon from LaGuardia Place at Washington Square Park

West 3rd Street - NYC

The World Trade Center Twin Towers were prominent on this horizon.

It seems eerie to see the sun rays where they once appeared.

The building under construction is 7 World Trade Center, a utility building for the new complex.

It's topped out now at about half the height of the former twin towers.

Sigh. I always looked up to figure out if I was heading in the right direction. It's still fresh.

Black and white does seem appropriate for the subject matter. Sad.

It certainly does leave a big hole in the sky line doesn't it... Nice image balance of sky and foreground.
