September 10, 2004. Yesterday, the weather in Greenwich Village was very humid and uncomfortable, so I stayed in my air conditioned apartment, cleaned up this Foo dog (also known as a Foo Lion that protects imperial households and temples) and took a photo of it for this gallery. It's early 18th century style (early Ching dynasty), but possibly could be a very good copy made at a later date.
