A Wall of NYU Buildings on the Former Greenwich Village Amity Street

West 3rd near Greene Street - Greenwich Village NYC

Notice how unfriendly and unsafe these buildings are to human pedestrian traffic.
A caring and thinking person might expect a higher quality of life standard from an institution of higher education like NYU and the NYC government?
Now a NYC/NYU2031 Administrative Plan calls for several more skyscrapers on the 2 super blocks south of Amity Street.
Legal proceedings are pending to stop the destruction of historic Greenwich Village with off the streets children's playgrounds, public park strips, a dog run, treasured Washington Square Village Sasaki Garden, LaGuardia Corner Gardens, LaGuardia Place Garden and over a thousand plants, bushes and trees.
