This series of granite outcroppings rises about 500 feet above the eastern Serengeti Plain. Dorobo Safaris has an arrangement with Maasai villages in the area to allow camping on their lands, so we saw no other tourists. The night breezes carried the rumbles of lion and calls of hyena under the starry sky. We were joined by four local Maasai and one Dorobo, who shared their knowledge of the terrain, and best of all, their song and dance.
