Herb, I'm suprised to see this in the San Diego Gardens. Lovely photo. It's an introduced tree in Hawaii that has grown to be a real invasive pest. Partly because the seeds are readily distributed in our environment. They are incredibly beautiful and the yellow variety is even more striking. Selvin

Wow, vibrant eye stopping flowers. Great details showing the ruffled yellow trimmed edges. I don't think I've ever seen a tulip tree...really striking. Excellent!
