VOC 'Prins Willem'

Replica van het VOC-schip de 'Prins Willem' in de Museumhaven Willemsoord in Den Helder,
op het terrein van de voormalige Rijkswerf Willemsoord. Het origineel van deze enorme
Oost-Indiėvaarder stamde uit 1650 maar verging in 1662 met man en muis in een storm bij Madagaskar.
In 2009 werd de replica ernstig beschadigd door brand.
Scheepswerf Talsma restaureert het schip in Harlingen.

VOC-ship the 'Prins Willem' ('Prince William'), a replica. The original was from 1650,
it sank to the bottom of the ocean in a big storm near Madagascar in the year 1662.
Update: the replica went up in flames on July 30, 2009.

Nicely framed detail shot. Very crisp and sharp. Too bad this ship burned.
