Het hotel is gevestigd in een 200 jaar oude villa aan de Hoofdweg, bij de kruising met de Tweekarspelenweg.
Oorspronkelijk was het een burgemeesterswoning (naast de villa staat het voormalige gemeentehuis).
Maar al zo`n 130 jaar wordt het pand gebruikt als hotel, restaurant en café.
