A few days ago, when my wife and I were walking a hiking trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park near Columbus, Ohio,
we came face to face with this young deer. It was standing at the edge of the woods just off the trail. After waching us
for a few seconds, it went back to grazing, only occasionally acknowledging we were there. After a few minutes we
were able to spot its mother about 100 feet deeper in the woods, watching us warily.
