Travelers walk past theThe Spirit of Transportation, a relief sculpture by Karl Bitter, that fills a wall in 30th Street Station,
the main railroad station in Philadelphia, The sculpture was created in 1895, part of a series of five reliefs created for
Philadelphia's Broad Street Station, and was moved to the 30th Street Station in 1933. The other reliefs were destroyed
when the Broad Street Station was demolished in 1952. Additional Philadelphia photos are in my Cities gallery.
