Taking the turn

Lexington, Ky.

Tactical Candy (2), under jockey Christian Rojas, opens a lead coming off the final turn of the six-furlong seventh race
during the opening day of Keeneland's spring meet. Tactical Candy tired down the stretch and finished sixth in the
seven-horse race. Tiz to Dream, under jockey Julien Leparoux (in back, black cap and red silks), won. Miss A. Bomb (7),
under Miguel Mena (outside, green silks and green cap), finished second with School Girl (4), under Jesus Castanon
(red cap, red sleeves near front), finished third. A second image of the race is below. Additional horse racing
images are in my horse racing gallery.

Spring meet at Keeneland. Can it get any better . . . unless it is the fall meet? I'm not so sure I like the new compound on the track. Great action shot and I'm impressed with your narrative of the race to go along with it.

Very sharp and clear. I'm intrigued by the surface of the track. The hooves of the horses sink so deeply, it must slow them considerably. Voted.
