The New Synagogue was built in 1900-1903 in the Secessionist style. The dome, representing the night sky and dotted with stars, measures 48 meters (157 feet) and is truly spectacular. In fact, we went back to Szeged just to visit the synagogue (finally, as it had been closed on our last trip).
