Sahara Desert Experience

We spent the night in the desert oasis town of Erfoud, in eastern Morocco, after a long but fascinating drive from Fes. There wasn’t much to see in Erfoud with the exception of a fossil factory we visited, so we were next taken to Rissani, the closest town of significant size to Erg Chebbi, the largest sand desert in Morocco. We spent a couple of hours with a Berber-Tuareg tour guide and then were off for our night in the Sahara Desert sand dunes, another highlight of our two-week tour of the country.
