This was the only bird we saw during our several hours at the aquatic gardens. It was extremely difficult to photograph since the sky was very bright and the tree was dark, but I finally managed to catch this one. Not sure what it is — maybe a mockingbird? Note: Thanks to Carl, I can say with certainty that this is indeed a northern mockingbird!

We used to visit the gardens every July for the Lotus and Water Lily Festival but didn't make it last year, so we decided to take advantage of the July 4 holiday and toured the park with Queenie. We were a bit early for full bloom, but still, an enjoyable time was had by all.
