Green oasis in the middle of the city

It’s hard to see in this picture, but that’s Washington beyond the trees. The National Arboretum, encompassing 446 acres, is located in the middle of northeast DC, 2.2 miles from the US Capitol and a 10-minute drive from home.

No azaleas, but plenty of roses, posted earlier:
