‘The Awakening,’ front yard version

Years ago, I photographed a famous sculpture titled “The Awakening” installed in East Potomac Park in DC https://pbase.com/helenpb/image/91282302 (too old a picture to include below). Then I took a picture of it when it was moved to National Harbor in Maryland (see below picture). Now one of our neighbors has his own version of it in his front yard and tree box. Impossible to photograph well, but I hope you can get an idea of what it looks like — a most unusual garden decoration.

What an interesting, even curious, garden sculpture. It is quite well done, especially given the small size of the garden. Interesting neighbourhood you live in. V

The resident wanted to make a statement and gave his interpretation of the Awakening in a small space.
Looks like mission accomplished very talented resident and it did not get past you.

Unusual sculpture to have in the front yard! Thanks for sharing it and indeed your old picture pays respect for the original sculpture. V.

The original sculpture in your image below is very impressive. I think your neighbour thanks the same. V!

Une décoration un peu spécial pour un petit jardin. C'est beau, mais je préfère voir l'oeuvre sur la plage. V

Artistic but also kind of creepy. Your various neighbors must be very interesting people.

Looks like he has come onto the sidewalk with it too! I remember when you posted that sculpture thinking it was very cool. A bit strange for a small yard. Maybe it would have worked better if he had scaled it down. V
