Kiyomizu temple, Kyoto

Kiyomizu-dera ('Pure Water Monastery') is a Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto. The temple is part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Beneath the main hall is the Otowa waterfall, where three channels of water fall into a pond. Visitors can catch and drink the water, which is believed to have wish-granting powers.

Interesting. I wonder if it is still 'drinkable' today?

Nice photograph seems like a nice crowd all interested in the special powers they can wish for.
One woman really determined to get her water.

The lady on the right must really want her wish granted. She's really reaching for the water.
