Tsukiji fish market

Built in 1935 as a replacement for an older market that was destroyed in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, Tsukiji was the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world until 2018, when it was closed and wholesale operations were moved to the new Toyosu Market. Tsukiji was demolished and will be replaced by a stadium for the Yomiuri Giants baseball team.

A great scene with the buyers in action. The price of some bluefin tuna can reach astronomical amounts...

A fascinating scene. Those are some impressive fish - I can only imagine the size of the ones that got away. :-)
