Contrary to what some might think, the Saudis are a very hospitable and gracious people. During our years in Riyadh, we were invited into Saudi homes (on one occasion by strangers right off the street, when I was trying to photograph the gate to a large property in Old Diriyah), and couldn’t have had more delightful experiences.
