Bazaar, Christian Quarter, Old City of Jerusalem

Not sure we bought anything here, but it was interesting to see.

*****

We went to Israel and Jordan while we were posted to Ankara, from 1996 to 2000. We stayed with a diplomat friend in Tel Aviv and traveled by bus to Jerusalem. I remember the bus route we took had previously been subject to a terrorist attack and that it wasn’t the most worry-free vacation we ever had.

it's like an oriental shopping mall, full of goods, people, and character..

Looks like there is plenty of items on display, but best to just browse.

Yes, good to see and browse, but most of the time I also consciously resist the temptation to buy things from these bazaars that I don't really need ... V

Love those old style narrow lane bazaars. Great capture of this one.
