Sri Krishnan Temple, Singapore

Sri Krishnan Temple is a Hindu temple in Singapore. Built in 1870 and gazetted as a national monument of Singapore in 2014, it is one of Singapore's oldest temples and is the only South Indian temple in Singapore dedicated to Krishna and his consort Rukmini.

This shot was taken by you years ago and the print is still very clear and sharp! This Hindu temple is very unique in that it also include an altar decidated to Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy for the Chinese, within the temple grounds. Many Chinese devotees of the Chinese temple nearby also light joss-sticks at this altar in Sri Krishnan Temple. V

Very cool!!! And historic. However, the "funeral home-like" awning doesn't quite fit the exotic, colorful building & all its statues. I wonder if the temple still has a similar awning today. It's a beautiful structure . Interesting how this building sits right against the sidewalk.
