Hopeful squirrel

I saw this squirrel in a garden near the US Capitol that is visited by a lot of people every day. I got closer and closer to him, and he just stood there, “smiling” at me, hoping for a handout, I’m sure. He finally ran away when some people came up behind him, but not before I got this shot of him.
