Lincoln Park butterfly

I saw this butterfly while out for a walk with Queenie, who actually didn’t mind my stopping to get a shot of it. Thanks to Pierre Martin and Philip P. for identifying it as a red admiral!

Really shows up on the tree trunk. Good for Queenie to allow stops for photos.

Pierre got it's name and it's a beauty too. They love to just sit on the pavement, tree trunk or dirt trail right in front of you. Well seen and shot. V
