Visiting with a dingo, Cairns

When I first posted this, I said didn't know where it was taken, but after processing another picture I see it was called Hartley's Croc Zoo, now Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures. They used to have a famous crocodile named Charlie, who died in 2000 at the age of 65 from cancer as well as other wildlife such as cassowaries and obviously at least one dingo.

I think this is the only dingo we saw in all our time in Australia.

Showing off that wing, posted earlier:

A handsome canine! They look a little like the Carolina Red Dog. V

The dingo is certainly getting a lot of attention! Looks though like he'd like to be away from it all, running wild.

It's not even on a leash so was very tame giving you a great experience to see one up close.

It was nice that you were able to go inside the enclosure and get close to the dingo. "Zoo" or not, what a great experience.

interesting to see a canine with such a fearsome reputation almost cowering with the crowd of visitors..
