Now our azaleas are blooming

This azalea bush is always the first in our garden to bloom and never produces many blossoms, but this is what greeted me this morning, three to four weeks earlier than usual. Our peonies have also started producing shoots in the back yard, way too early. At least our tulips haven’t bloomed yet, but they can’t be far behind.

Azaleas at the beginning of March in DC??? Wow! That sure is early. The whole country is upsidedown lately weather wise. This bloom is a pretty color. It was 75 degrees here today. Crazy.

We’ve had over 9 feet (284cm) of snow this winter before today’s storm of another 25 cm! The idea and lovely photo of a blooming azalea is a treat.
