Ready to burst

All the magnolias at Lincoln Park are budding or blooming now, about a month earlier than usual. It snowed for maybe an hour today, but it's too warm (41 F) to stick, much to the disappointment of almost everybody, including me, because I wanted to get a picture of the blossoms covered in white.

Tim took this picture on Thursday, when it was 81 F (27.2 C) here. This morning it was 30 F (-1 C).
