Already in bloom

The magnolias in Lincoln Park, less than a block from our house, have started to bloom. Just amazing, and worrisome. It’s forecast to get to 79 F on Thursday, unheard of in February in DC. I checked old pictures, and that tree usually blooms from mid to late March...

Star magnolia is so beautiful. My neighbor across the street has two of these shrubs and almost every year the flowers get frost bitten and just shrivel up. I hope she will have a few more days of their beauty. V.
