SoNYa (south of New York Avenue) is a development in the NoMa (north of Massachusetts Avenue) neighborhood of DC described on its website as “Visually-stunning and singular in spirit, SoNYa’s warm living spaces, lively social places and avant-garde aesthetics evoke a creative wonderland and appeal to the bold hearted.”
This mural, by the Canadian artist Jarus, is one of two on the back of the complex (see picture below for the other one). I had photographed it a few weeks ago but didn’t like the result since I was too close and it lacked context. This time I was able to get further away but not sure the context is so great!
