The first of 15

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of its art program, MuralsDC, the District has commissioned 15 new murals across four wards. The first mural was unveiled last month, painted by native Washingtonian Alberto Clarencia in the parking lot of the Chick-fil-A on Maryland Avenue in Northeast.

We were driving home from grocery shopping and were saying how amazing it was that we sometimes just come across new murals around DC. Tim said, “You mean like that one?” so I jumped out of the car and photographed it.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.
